Things are slowing down a bit as we move into August. I’m hoping to see more peppers this month, and steady increases in okra.
This just might be the day I pull the lemon cucumber vine that has produced over 100 cucumbers. Almost all of the leaves are shriveled and brown, and I can use the room to start some fall crops.
Nice work, lemon cucumber.
One big sandwich-ready Brandywine today, plus three lemon cucumbers, a butternut squash, three okra, and another seventeen small tomatoes.
Also, after that, a couple of pictures of our Goliath sunflower that finally opened up!
I’m embarrassed to say I missed a post yesterday, but it was more of the same: cherry tomatoes, a big Brandywine, several lemon cucumbers, and some okra.
And today…more of the same! Thirty small tomatoes, one Brandywine (not pictured), and two okra, and three lemon cucumbers.
The lemon cucumbers just keep coming…eleven more today, plus 23 small tomatoes, 5 okra, and the first banana pepper of the season (might be the only one, as it looks right now).
